As part of its expansion programme, the On running shoe company has moved its headquarters into the ATMOS new-build in Zurich-West, where it is the anchor tenant. We handle a whole range of tasks for this world-famous brand, from design through to installation of facade logos and monoliths and from the production of all indoor signage elements through to their installation.
The eastern and western sides of the building are the key facades for positioning logos that have to be integrated into the architecture. The two, highly visible On logos are affixed to the building’s eastern and western facades at a dizzy 60 metres above ground level, on the second-highest floor of the headquarters.
Despite its dimensions (174 x 350 x 17 cm), the logo blends harmoniously into the architecture thanks to proportions that are commensurate with the facade structure and to its centred positioning on the facade bands. The elongated shape of the building – oriented towards the city centre and the main approaches – means that the logos are highly visible.
The “Monolith” – a pylon almost 5 metres high – provides a unifying On-campus element at the centre of the square and radiates timeless solidity. The Monolith's stainless steel surface diffuses reflections of its environment, helping it to “communicate” with its surroundings. With its two integral 85" screens (Ultra HD, D-LED, 3000cd/m2, 24/7) it is clearly a popular meeting place for the new complex.
Richnerstutz was also responsible for the overall realization of the indoor signage at On’s head office.
