Zurich Airport celebrates 75 years
Multimedia exhibition at Airport Shopping.

Since the maiden flight 75 years ago, Zurich Airport has become Switzerland's most important international transport hub. To celebrate this milestone, a multimedia exhibition is on show at Airport Shopping until 10 September, providing a wealth of background information on the past, present and future of the gateway to the world.

Richnerstutz was commissioned by Bellprat Partner AG, the company responsible for the concept and design, to bring this ambitious project – including all the digital and interactive elements – to life.

In several promotional areas, uniforms from different eras are on display, and a series of aircraft models illustrates the evolution of aviation technology.  A map of the world reveals how Zurich Airport has expanded its network over the years, and at an interactive station visitors can learn about the development of the airport's infrastructure. A futuristic island visualizes Zurich Airport in 2040, including construction projects and sustainability goals.

The Circle Tunnel has been transformed into a photo gallery, and there is also a retro-style selfie wall, in front of which visitors can pose and take photos to share on Instagram using the hashtag #ZRH75 to mark the anniversary.
