A merger is not just a single moment but a process. For the Helvetia Baloise employee event “Unwritten”, we were asked to create a visualization of this transformation – with objects that do not explain but that bring things to life: two oversized books and 2.5 metre-long pencils as strong, reduced symbols for the unwritten chapter of a shared future. We were tasked with transforming these ideas into a physical reality.
The pencils were created from scratch in our Technical Production department. Models were made which were 3D-printed in several parts, and we then assembled them, applied filler, and polished and painted them. All the steps were carried out on our premises – including the painting in our booth which was ideal for this project as it is exactly 2.5 metres wide.
An aluminium base was designed for the two books by our construction team. The final layer created the large-format books that created an impactful spatial presence for the motif of the unwritten chapter and constituted an important design element of the installation.
In addition to these objects, we also created the signage elements: the panels with text, distributed in all the halls, ensured that around 7,000 employees were able to find their way intuitively and that the event journey was clearly indicated.
“Unwritten” was created in an intensive co-creation process lasting just 14 weeks. The close collaboration in a spirit of partnership with standing ovation ag was shaped by speed, trust and a shared desire for quality. The result was an event that does not explain transformation but that brings it to life – and that was the first visible chapter of the new Helvetia Baloise.
A new chapter takes shape.
